Hi everyone.... Mike here! Great news to improve Competitive Massage in the US.
After sitting back for a year seeing the competitive movement here in the U.S. it hit me that a vital link to the U.S. winning the Nation Award at the World Championship would not be attainable with the current structure. So I decided to start a Training Program for competition. It will be called US Massage Camp.
It will train judges and help coach and train attendees, from those never having been in a competition to those headed into Copenhagen for the World Championship and the American Massage Championship at the World Massage Festival or those who simply want to take their own practice to the next level. We will have information for you about the championships in Copenhagen and Cherokee.
Massage Camp will serve as a warm-up for both events as it may be up to a year since therpists last competed. That makes it hard to win Nation's Best with that gap. Coaches at Camp will take time before and after the competition to meet individually with participants and explain where you need to practice more so you will be ready for whatever level of competition you pursue. We will be teaching and following the IMA rules.
It will be a completely different, intensive type of event and focus on competitive massage with coaches rather than just judges. We will gather great massage masters in the USA for knowledge sharing, skill transmission, and fun bonding. Together you will form a strategy and be ready for the actual championship on Day 2.
No matter your level of expertise.....Camp is for you! It will also give you an opportunity to meet and share with other therapists. Participants will leave inspired, more skillful, and part of a stronger massage community.

The Bridge Builder
An old man, going a lone highway,
Came at the evening, cold and gray,
To chasm, vast and deep and wide,
